After dozens of submissions and hundreds of votes, Student Leadership is proud to announce the winner of the mascot redesign contest. Congratulations to Jerrald Morales, who takes first place, a unique place in Seattle Central history and the $1,000 prize.

Jerrald is a first year student and intends to major in illustration. His Tiger incorporates scenery of downtown and the Space Needle, which is home to "SCC," also designed into the image.

Also a heartfelt thanks to our other three finalists:

  • Aivy Ha
  • Kaitlyn Rowe
  • Long Thai

Over the next few weeks, we'll reproduce this image for giveaways to celebrate our new mascot. Please stay tuned for a date when we are back on campus. We'll hold an event where you can pick up first-edition goodies and say congratulations to Jerrald.

The contest was sponsored by Seattle Central College and Associated Student Council.
